Responsibilities:
Review and verify all tax filing/transactions (CIT, VAT, WHT, SBT etc) for compliance and correctness
Support Tax Manager for Annual and Half-Year Corporate Income Tax computation preparation and review
Support any other special tax projects such as implementation of e-Tax invoice, e-Receipt, e-Withholding tax and tax health check including tax restructure
Assist in monitoring tax compliance and provide consultation/advice to other functions on all tax matters in order to minimize tax exposure and non-tax deductible expense
Assist in managing all tax issues/audits/litigation relating to core taxes (CIT, VAT, WHT, SBT etc)
Proactively follow up and update on any new tax/regulatory changes such as transfer pricing and new tax requirements
Assist in identifying transfer pricing risks and mitigation approach
Research and analyse data; to review documents and prepare presentations as well as email correspondence
Identify outstanding tax invoices from vendors in previous 6 months and follow up to obtained original tax invoice to enable VAT input tax claim
Review and check to ensure all withholding tax certificate are complete and available
Ensure appropriate tax documentation and implementation of Group Guideline Taxes, Policies and documentation standard
Assist Tax Manager to coach finance team on tax technical skills and contributing a positive professional team working environment by building solid relationships with team members.
Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Accounting or Tax related only, Master degree in Business Administration/Law/Accounting or Finance is a plus
At least 4-year working experience in relation to tax consultancy or accounting in the VAT field such as VAT filing (PP.30 and PP.36)
Good understanding of VAT, WHT, CIT and accounting process including reconciliations
Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player
Strong analytical skills with creative thinking
Business oriented mind with self confidence
Excellent communication skills with a strong command of written and spoken English
Able to manage multiple tax tasks at the same time
